SUYL EP1: Braam Blitzes Montagu Pass

Signal Bikes is thrilled to launch 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗨𝘀 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗟𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹, a six part video series celebrating Signal Shredders on their home turf 🚲💨 🇿🇦

The first instalment of this homegrown series sees Oli Munnik and aspiring racing snake Braam Wannenburg throwing down the watts in a fast paced ascent of his local climb, the grueling Montagu Pass.

Built in 1848 by Henry Fancourt, the imposing 17km Montagu Pass links George in the Southern Cape to Oudtshoorn in the Klein Karoo and is the oldest, unaltered pass still in use in South Africa.

Surrounded by the towering Outeniqua mountain range, the pass is widely regarded as one of the country's most majestic, and an absolute thrill to conquer by bicycle. Most certainly a worthy addition to any rider's bucket-list.

Riding neck and neck on the early slopes, will Braam reach the railway underpass before Oli as they dual it out to the summit on their Signal Pros? Watch below to find out!

From the peaks of the Outeniqua Mountains to the urban routes of Soweto, we love receiving stories of Signal riders thriving on their bikes, enjoying the freedom and excitement that two wheels gives them.

To celebrate this positivity, we dispatched Oli 'Pinner' Munnik to various parts of our beautiful country to join 6 Signal Shredders on their local trail.
